The AC Merlin motors are here!

Ace Company's first custom motor design which pays homage to the iconic WWII fighter, the Supermarine Spitfire and named by some of our awesome Ace pilots. The AC Merlin motor was completely designed in house here at Ace Company HQ and assembled by one of the most well known motor manufacturers in the Drone racing industry.

The bell and base are milled from 7075 grade aluminium with the Ace of Spades a unique design feature cut into the bell. Nothing says Ace Company and your commitment to the flight like the Ace of Spades.

The base is anodized in a Titanium grey and the bell in a Matte Green to reflect the colors of the Supermarine Spitfire, then embellished with a glamorous red prop nut.

The AC Merlin features Japanese EZO 8*4*3 bearings which are light and more than capable of handling high RPM.
EZO are a Japanese company and a specialist manufacturer of high precision bearings for over 30 years. They have a deserved worldwide reputation amongst customers and bearing manufacturers alike for total consistency and reliability.

A titanium alloy hollow shaft extends through the center of the motor for maximum strength as well as being light and durable. At the base of the shaft is a screw which makes bell removal and motor cleaning super easy. No more c clips shooting across the field and disappearing into the grass or into your girlfriends right eye.

16cm extra long 20AWG silicone wires extend from the motor to provide more length than required, which is helpful for those running 4 in 1 ESC's. So long, they can be braided for an ACE AF look.

The motor already has a nickname, dubbed 'Keith' by many of our Ace pilots to commemorate one of New Zealands greatest Ace pilots, Keith Park. Air chief marshall who served in WWI & WWII.

When I purchased these motors I was expecting good things, a lot of hype and talk had gone around about the new arrivals. After my first flight with them, I can confidently say, best motor I've ever flown, there was an incredible amount of punch, yet I didn't see my flight times getting any shorter. Even just holding these motors and playing with them, you can tell that they're a quality piece of equipment, top job Ace Company, I would rate it 10/10, but the system only goes up to 5.
