Description:
An affordable all Carbon Fibre 250 quadcopter frame packed with great features and designed and made in New Zealand. This frame weighs only 160g including all hardware, FPV camera mounting plate and isolated, jello free mounting plate for HD recording.
Incorporated in the middle plate of this quad are 3mm diameter holes along the length of the frame allowing you to adjust the position of your 36x36mm flight controller and other electronics whilst still using spacers and screws to keep them securely mounted, say goodbye to cable ties and mounting tape should you decide to mount things away from the default position. The holes also allow you to install spacers to prevent the battery from slamming into your electronics in the event of a crash.
Speaking of crashing, the arms on this thing are nice and thick to provide a sturdy platform for your motors without the worry of snapping them during a crash.
Other features that make this frame so attractive are pre drilled holes for mounting Video transmitter SMA extension leads, as well as easy access holes for all screws and other hardware. Just insert your Alan key through the holes to access and tighten screws in the middle plate without tearing the frame apart.
The bottom plate has 10mm of clearance from the middle plate, allowing you to mount ESC's and PDBs between both plates easily for a tidy, clean build.

The dr250 is a modified version of the r.250 design from untestedprototype.com. The changes include an adjustable top plate position, multiple flight controller positions, added holes and slots in the bottom plate for tools, reduction of arm screws from 4 to 2, and completely redesigned arms.
